recently the club i support down here went into administration (Crystal Palace fc)

one of the "fundraising" ideas to have come out of this,is a scheme where supporters of the club who either DONT live in the UK or that live to far away to attend matches "donate" money, which is then used to buy match tickets to be distributed to kids in the local area...

having followed SFC for a very long time (it would take to long to explain why i follow SFC!!!) and having used this forum to keep in touch with whats happening at the club, i thought that the "ex pat" idea could be used by yourselves?

good luck for the rest of the season, and who knows your record of not being in the same divison for 9 seasons on the bounce can be kept up???

Perhaps paying for games they don't attend is a step to far for most but there are many other ways that people of a Stranraer FC persuasion can and do help the club. Whether it is to sponsor a player that they may never see, buy the strip, subscribe to the programme, buy the lottery or use our e bay site to buy memorabilia. Those of you who do it please continue to do so and if you haven't in the past please give it consideration in the future.
The support we receive from places as diverse as Australia, New Zealand, The States and Europe in many of these fund raising practises is encouraging and any further addition on this front would be fantastic for the club.

i am aware of the things the club do to raise money; i guess the difference in the size of the fansbase, makes the ex pat idea work for us?

either way the IMPORTANT thing,as you rightly say,is that it CONTINUES!!!!
